The September Technical Webinar speaker will be Marcia Brandes and the topic will be “Sizing Your Photographs”. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 6:30 pm.
You’re preparing your images to submit for a photo competition or exhibition, and the rules stipulate that your images must be in one of a specified number of sizes and resolution. If you submit images that don’t meet the requirements, they are often rejected. That’s such a shame when you have images worthy of being included and sizing the images correctly is not that difficult!
The Call for Entries for the PCPC 2025 Exhibition on “Our World In Focus” is open from September 21 - December 14, 2024. Attend this webinar to see Marcia demonstrate how to correctly size your photographs in Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop before you submit them.
What will we learn:
Marcia will give a step-by-step demonstration of how to properly size your photography to any specified dimensions and resolutions in both Photoshop and Lightroom. There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions.
About Marcia Brandes:
Marcia Brandes has lived in Atlanta, GA for 50 years. She and her business partner founded Phoenix Galleries Inc., one of the first female- owned businesses in the home furnishings industry. For 33 years they designed and manufactured framed artwork, selling to furniture companies, designers, and the hospitality industry. While developing giclee prints from the original canvases her artists produced, Marcia became proficient in Photoshop. Once digital cameras became standard, she photographed the artwork for sales photos and then added her black and white nature photographs to her company’s portfolio of images for sale.
Since she retired, Marcia has been an involved member of the Georgia Nature Photographers Association (GNPA) and a charter member of their Conservation Photography Committee. She was chairman of that committee for 2 ½ years and was on the board of GNPA. Marcia is on the Board of Directors of The Peachtree Corners Photography Club, and serves on the Executive Committee as the Board Secretary.

The Technical Webinars are hosted monthly by skilled club members as well as guest speakers who are subject-matter experts on the various topics. Our presenters share expertise, tips, and knowledge about various photography and post-production techniques. Our aim is to increase your skill level and confidence with your photography and post-production.
