Our November Speaker is Kevin Ames and the topic will be “Understanding and Mastering Light”.
Light is the paint. The camera sensor is the canvas. Photography is creating with light.
In this presentation, Kevin Ames will show and explain the two qualities of light, their three properties and how all photography uses them in every image. He will cover contrast and how to control it, exposure and how to master it. Every topic has several examples to help the audience understand the concepts visually.
Kevin’s presentation will be interactive, and will involve audience participation as he demonstrates practical ways to see the qualities of light and how to test for them without any equipment at all.
