Everybody goes through a period in their life where you may become bored or stagnant with photographing the same thing over and over. To help Elaine develop her love of photography again, she has discovered items that have helped her get those creative juices flowing. Elaine will bring to the meeting items that have helped her continue to grow and bring excitement back to her photography adventure. Come join us on April 14, 2022 and get ready to have fun.
About Elaine Bullard:
I have been shooting photography since middle school (a long, long time). I traveled through Europe for two summers during high school using an Instamatic camera with the square flash. Then, I graduated to a NikonN2000 film camera. Then life took over and I set my camera down until my early 30’s. When digital cameras came out, I took baby steps in purchasing a lot of point and shoot cameras. Then, my husband bought my first Nikon digital camera, the D40, which he still swears was his most expensive Christmas present ever. I still use that camera as my back-up camera. I am now using the Nikon 7500 camera after my Nikon 5200 died a very quick death. I think I killed it due to shooting over 150,000 photos with it.
I joined Cobb Photographic Society and honed my skills as a photographer by competing in competitions. In 2015, my photo won Novice Photo of the Year and I was named Novice Photographer of the year that same year. A couple of years later I became their field trip coordinator and led numerous field trips for the club for several years.
Then I took the next step and finally started earning money with my photography. I have to pay for all of this equipment somehow. I have photographed several weddings, high school seniors and families. My photography journey has also led me to volunteer for several organizations. I have volunteered as the photographer for Duluth Youth Baseball Opening day for several years and several other organizations. I am also a photographer for Cobb County Rodeo. Recently, I haveI have been published in several magazines.
