Monthly Meeting – April 2018

Monthly Club Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Peachtree Corners Photography Club will be on

Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:30 pm

at the Pinckneyville Community Center, Berkeley Lake, GA

Our theme for program segment is “A is for Art – Use aperture priority mode to manage depth of field and  take your photography to the next level“. Photos from members will demonstrate what can be done – and how.

The majority of our hour will be a mini-workshop on depth of field. Bring your camera, tripod if you like. We will have lights and a selection of subjects to practice on. You may then share and discuss your images with the group.

This will be a fun evening for photo enthusiasts of all levels and interests!

Video Workshop

Video Workshop

by Brian Morgan

Last Thursday, March 22, 2018,  Jim and Roxy Stone returned to offer a Video Basics class to residents and workers of Peachtree Corners as part of the Photography Workshops sponsored by the City of Peachtree Corners.

They brought and demonstrated several levels of gear ranging from beginner to top-of-the-line professional equipment. The presentation covered strategies for improving video skills including equipment selection, considerations for light management, angles for shooting your subject, planning your shoot, and more.

The second half of the evening was spent actually playing with the various tool sets they brought to the class. We experienced gimbals, rail slider systems, camera supports, and multiple lighting system options.

A future class will be held on video editing that promises to be just as beneficial.

We will meet early, at 7:30 am, when the wildlife is active – and there is enough light for photography.
