I love the challenge of Black & White photography. There are certain scenes that have such beautiful contrast, textures, light, and strong architectural features that the color actually distracts from the shapes and patterns. I especially like to use compositional elements of symmetry and balance, and leading lines, whether it’s done with light or by objects themselves, to draw the viewer’s eye into and around the frame.
