Monthly Meeting – January 13, 2022

Our January Monthly Meeting will be **VIRTUAL** on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

Join us for the January monthly meeting! This month’s meeting will only be virtual and not in-person. Given the prevalence of the Omicron variant, a virtual meeting was the best option for this month. We hope to be back in person for our February meeting.

The monthly club meeting is a free event for anyone who shares a passion in photography, from the total beginner with your phone to a professional with multiple gear sets. Please join us and invite anyone who may be interested in exploring and learning about photography!

We hope you’ll join us online. The Zoom details will be provided in an email to registered members.

Our January presentation will be a review of photography gear:
“What’s In Your Bag” Gear Talk.

For our first Club meeting of 2022, we are going to look inside the gear bags of 5 photographers who specialize in different genres of photography:  Wildlife, Events, Lifestyle Portraits, Landscapes, and Architectural Interiors.

What does David Dunagan take along to photograph deer in the woods so he can get beautiful close-up shots like this?  You might consider using that type of gear and approach when photographing Wildlife in your own backyard.

Photographing wildlife is a bit like shooting Events where people are all over the place and you don’t know what to expect.  So how does Richard Phillips know what gear to bring to an event like this one he shot for the Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries with Mark Richt?  You might consider this same type of gear when you shoot your next family event.

Most of us enjoy photographing people, or would at least aspire to do it well.  What special gear does Brian Walton use to capture beautiful Lifestyle Portraits?

You might think that shooting Landscapes would require just a camera, lens, and a tripod, but you might be surprised at what gear it takes to make a truly stunning landscape like Mario Lombardi‘s.

Most of us may never shoot super high-end commercial Architectural Interiors like David Schilling has done his entire career for magazines like Veranda, but wouldn’t it be fun to see what’s in all these bags of his?

Join us online for the January 13th meeting and see what’s in all these gear bags!
