About Tracey Luttgens
Tracey Luttgens, has always had a love for the arts and studied Art History, Photography & Graphic Design while in college in the early 90’s. She began working as a professional photographer in 2000 and was primarily an infant, child, and family portrait photographer from 2001 to 2011. In addition to the arts, she’s always had a passion for animals, whether they have fur, scales or feathers.
Over the years she has shared her life and home with dogs, cats, parrots, small rodents, reptiles, fish and enjoyed hanging out with many barnyard animals from her relatives farms.Prior to moving to Georgia, she volunteered at Brookfield Zoo and was selected to work in the Hamill Family Play Zoo area, entertaining & educating children as well as adults on many of the animals on exhibit. To further her understanding of behaviors and assist in photography of dogs, she became a certified dog trainer in 2013. A skill which has been valuable for both her and her clients. In 2015 she opened her own studio Heart Spot Portraits, a boutique studio specializing in pets and the people they love!
Tracey has been a contributing photographer for Atlanta Pet Life Magazine, is a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), is currently up for election to be on the PPA council, and is the Executive Director for GPPA (Georgia Professional Photographers Association) where she works with the board and other professional photographers creating social networking events, assisting fellow photographers in their businesses & strengthening the Georgia photography community. In addition to all that, she is an official HeARTs Speak artist member, and donates her time & talents to local rescue groups furthering the HeARTs Speak mission of “working to create a world where no shelter animal goes unseen”!
