Our Monthly Meeting will be online again in November
We hope you’ll join us at 6:45 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Details on how to join the online meeting will be provided in an email to registered members.
We will critique the photos submitted by members on the theme of “Colorful Leaves.”
Our main speaker will be Bruce Wayne Halliburton on the topic of “Photo Book Projects for Amateur Photographers.” Bruce’s presentation will introduce you to photo book vendors and the most common options they offer ($ cost vs. time cost vs. quality trade-offs), discuss necessary resources (mostly your imagination), and demonstrate/discuss the notion of “flow” in the layout of your book (how you tell your VERY INTERESTING story).
Expect a short survey of popular ways to make picture books (online, off-line, auto) and things to avoid (copyright infringement and trespass). Bruce will devote more time on how he planned and produced three projects: a family history, a look at TCB murals, and women in murals. Expect many pictures and be ready to challenge him on the layout choices he made. Bruce will supply a list of vendors, helpful books, web sources and computer applications.
